About the Role: As an AVIT Technician III at GBS, you’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, working on exciting projects that integrate audio visual, telephony, and networked control systems. You’ll lead installations, provide top-notch customer service, and mentor other technicians, all while ensuring our clients receive the best experience possible.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Mentor: Guide and support fellow technicians in the field, helping them grow their technical skills.
• Install & Commission: Execute job installations to GBS standards, including audio visual, paging/intercom, telephony, and networked control systems.
• Service & Troubleshoot: Perform preventative maintenance, general service calls, and diagnostics at client sites.
• Prepare & Validate: Assist with in-shop staging, build activities, and validate equipment before installation.
• Collaborate & Configure: Work with programmers and design teams to set up, debug, and commission systems.
• Customer Engagement: Provide training and support to clients, ensuring they understand and can operate their systems.

Work Schedule & Travel: This is an hourly field position with workdays typically from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. While most work is local, occasional overnight travel may be required.

Requirement

Top Qualifications:

• Required experience: 5+ years in AV/IT, with specific expertise in Q-Sys control systems.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with AV/DSP control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.), network configurations, and system troubleshooting.
• Hands-On Expertise: Comfortable with ladder work, cable pulling, rack building, and AV/telephony equipment setup.
• Certifications: CTS certification required within 6 months; CTS-I preferred. Additional certifications like A+ or Network+ are a plus.
