Job Opportunity: Transportation Professional – Part Time with ARC Industries, Inc. in Columbus, OH

Part-time: Monday – Friday, 20 hr./wk. – 8am to 10am then 2pm to 4pm

ARC Industries has openings for friendly, reliable, and professional drivers to join our expanding team.

As a Transportation Professional, you will operate a wheel-chair accessible shuttle vehicle to provide daily scheduled transportation for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, to and from ARC’s Active Treatment program. You will:

• Adhere to all traffic laws and ensure the safety of all passengers.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to all passengers.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report all defects for maintenance.
• Operate and ride hydraulic lift and secure passengers’ wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Assist in the boarding and offboarding of passengers.
• Perform daily vehicle cleaning and custodial duties as necessary.

Requirement

To be a Transportation Professional, you must have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Minimum of five years of driving experience
• Must possess valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Meet and maintain the insurability standards of ARC and our insurance carrier to drive for company business
• Must pass a BCII/FBI background check, Nurse Aid & Abuser Registry checks
• Must pass driver physical and drug screen
• Must be able to operate a wheel-chair accessible shuttle vehicle safely and efficiently
• Previous experience transporting passengers in accessible vehicles preferred
