You will ensure that all income, including donations, sales, and event deposits, is accurately recorded and reported. The Accounts Receivable position is responsible for ensuring that all income to ICR is properly recorded, deposited, and reported to the correct individuals within ICR. This includes handling all donations, sales, event deposits, AR payments, and income from any other source. You will also be expected to communicate with donors regarding one-time donations, recurring automatic donations, as well as other questions and issues that arise.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Gather, reconcile, and record credit card settlements of donations, ticket sales, and book/DVD sales
  • Sort through all mail and handle donations made via check, money order, and/or cash
  • Make daily online (remote) check deposits
  • Interact with and provide friendly customer service for donors via phone, email, and mail regarding donations and/or other ICR-related questions
  • Input all donations, sales, and other income into a daily Excel file. Deliver this daily report with supporting documents to the correct individuals
  • Prepare and report cash deposits, as well as deposits of foreign (non-U.S.) checks, money orders, and currency
  • Communicate clearly with other departments when necessary to ensure that operations run smoothly
  • Ensure that each donation is associated with the correct account code and project code
  • Manage recurring automatic donations, staying up-to-date with the correct information by interacting with donors
  • Process accounts receivable payments
  • Complete other duties as assigned by CFO, Comptroller, and Senior Accountant

Requirement

  • Agreement with ICR’s core principles and purpose
  • Written testimony of faith/salvation
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft office products, especially Excel and Word
  • Integrity – This position will be handling money and other confidential information, and so it is required that the person is completely trustworthy and takes integrity very seriously (a criminal background check will be conducted).
  • Detail-Oriented – This role demands the highest attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in every transaction and report. You must be organized and able to manage a high volume of data entry effectively. 
  • Ability to focus – The person in this position must be able to stay mentally focused and alert, even when performing repetitive tasks.
