Description
Purpose: Develop, build and nurture relationships with the corporate community to support Technology Transformation Academy (www.cityofrefugeatl.org/tech-academy) placement of graduates into technology careers. Create robust communication programs to market and engage with corporate support. Work with students and graduates to develop effective interview skills, resulting in placements to meet goals for program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Expand the employer network by developing new relationships and deepening engagement with current employers.
- Working in collaboration with City of Refuge staff, optimize current employer support to create deeper engagement with Tech Transformation Academy programs
- In collaboration with program leadership, provide feedback from employers on needed skills and certifications to ensure program is meeting employer needs
- Facilitate connections between program participants (students/graduates) with technology professionals and industry networks to build social capital and help students effectively and professionally network
- Manage and grow the mentorship program, facilitating student/mentor relationships to build professional skills
- Provide tailored support to students, both in group sessions and one-on-one coaching, to build professional confidence, self-efficacy, and empowerment
- Provide pro-active and practical job search support, to include assistance with resume optimization (such as key word usage), professional networking, interview preparation, and offer negotiation.

Qualifications:
- A personal commitment to faith-based overall purpose to help those in need
- Ability to work with individuals from all walks of life with an open heart and practical approach
- Proven ability to build and nurture professional relationships, through background in professional sales, marketing, business development, human resources, or other relationship-driven work environments
- Fluency in technology in the corporate environments with commitment to on-going learning to keep abreast of technology tools, trends and usage
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional collaborative skills, with proven track record of working within an organization to achieve common goals
- Excellent organization skills, including experience in maximizing a customer database (such as Salesforce)
